The Business Operations, Systems and Support team within Prime Air is responsible for the tools that the organization uses to achieve this goal. Our solutions include Product Lifecycle Management Systems (PLM), Manufacturing Execution Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP), collaboration platforms and vehicle maintenance, and the data infrastructure for the Prime Air organization. We’re a diverse group that combines product managers, software developers, and engineers to deliver across a wide range of technical challenges.
We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer to help us optimize and grow our PLM infrastructure. Our services operate at scale and support workloads critical to safety, so a passion and discipline around operational excellence is key. In this role you will have the opportunity to:

- Implement and support PLM and MES- related systems
- Drive continual improvement in systems operations through tool building and automation
- Drive root cause analyses
- Scale our services: Lead the planning, forecasting, and technical approaches to operating at peak scale
- Drive projects and report on their progress
- Report on the health of our services at an executive level
- Collaborate with and learn from world-class leaders to meet world-class challenges, every day

Export Controls License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.


Key job responsibilities
* Build and implement automations and tools to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency
* Deliver right-sized solutions to complex problems
* Engage directly with customers to define problems and evaluate potential solutions
* Conduct technical assessments, build consensus within the team, and ensure alignment with organizational goals
Job Requirements:
* 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
* 2+ years of non-internship experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure in AWS
* Experience programming with at least one software programming language
* Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems* 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) using AWS services
* Experience developing infrastructure-as-code with frameworks, such as AWS CDK or TerraForm
* Advanced knowledge of configuration management systems, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic spanets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,000/year in our lowest geographic spanet up to $207,900/year in our highest geographic spanet. Pay is based on a number of factors including spanet location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
