This opening is for a Test and Validation Engineer in Raytheons Operations and Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering Services. This position is based in Forest, MS, and will support production and testing of complex electronic systems, units and modules associated with military radar and communications products.  

What You Will Do

• Perform production test operations on complex radar systems and ensure they meet acceptance specification.
• Prepares and maintains special test equipment (STE) for production testing.
• Interface with program management and the customer on technical issues
• Proactive test optimization and continuous improvement
• Development and maintenance test Procedures
• Provide root cause analysis and resolution of test failures (hardware and test environment)
• Train test support personnel to properly run Test Procedures
• This is an onsite role in our Forest, MS.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience with Acceptance Test Requirements
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with use of optical fiber in communication systems, reading product specifications and requirements.
• Experience with modern Automated Test Systems for electronics
• Experience performing analysis of technical data
• Previous lab experience with RF network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
• Previous experience diagnosing/isolating technical issues with test equipment and production hardware

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
