The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking a Composites Process Engineer to join the MQ‑28 Ghost Bat Production Facility currently being built at Wellcamp Toowoomba, QLD.

What youll get to do:
- Support transitioning composites fabrication capability from our Melbourne facility to the new purpose built Toowoomba Wellcamp facility;
- Develop and lead test activities to ensure structural integrity with novel materials/processes;
- Support the production system design for composite fabrication in Wellcamp
- Develop and implement work instructions for composite fabrication;
- Support Materials related outsourcing activities, e.g. qualification of suppliers against Boeing specifications;
- Provide technical oversight of our production and production process qualification activities across the business; and
- Ensure compliance to safety, regulatory and engineering requirements.
Who were looking for:
- Applicants must hold tertiary qualifications in: Mechanical/Manufacturing/Chemical /Aerospace Engineering
- Minimum 2+ years in relevant technical disciplines
- Previous experience in composite manufacturing is highly desired but not essential
- Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices
- Effective communication skills with different stakeholders across the business
- Works well with others and encourages team building
- Assertive, self-motivated and capable of working with a high degree of initiative
- Must be based at Wellcamp with willingness to travel to suppliers and Boeing sites across Australia
