Summary:
Support commercial derivative airplane programs in San Antonio.
This hands-on position involves working closely with production personnel to address product/process issues and engineering challenges in a factory environment.
The role requires the ability to make quick decisions and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Apply engineering principles to assess and resolve product/process issues throughout the lifecycle.
Lead root cause analysis and develop solutions for design non-conformances.
Support product/process improvements and resolve technical, operational, and quality issues.
Conduct safety analyses and manage complex resolutions for reported problems.
Represent engineering in the build and post-production environment, ensuring supplier and partner compliance with Boeing standards.
Develop and lead non-destructive test procedures and technical training curriculum.
Participate in design reviews and provide subject matter expertise to Integrated Product Teams (IPT).
Develop solutions for structural repairs, including static strength analysis and jacking/shoring schemes.
Coordinate on-site repair teams and support accident investigations.
Requirements:
Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field, with 9+ years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of experience with structural/electrical rework/repairs for aircraft/system restoration.
Previous experience with Commercial Material Review or similar experience in aerospace.
Must be available for rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and overtime.
Exposure to factory environment including stairs, noise, chemical hazards, and work in confined spaces.
MUST BE US PERSONS
Desired Skills:
8+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, or electrical systems.
8+ years of experience with root cause analysis and drafting dispositions for non-conformances.
Materials Review Board (MRB) certification.
Experience with executive interior installations, modification/repair of wide-body aircraft.
