Summary:
Partner directly with production teams to troubleshoot product and process issues in real-time.
Apply core engineering principles across the full product lifecycle.
Lead root cause analysis and resolve design non-conformances.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for product, process, and quality.
Conduct detailed safety analyses and support complex issue resolution.
Represent Engineering during aircraft builds and post-production phases.
Ensure supplier and partner compliance with standards.
Develop non-destructive test procedures and lead technical training.
Provide subject matter expertise during design reviews and IPT meetings.
Design structural repairs, including static strength assessments and jacking/shoring plans.
Coordinate on-site repair teams and support accident investigations.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (or related field) + 9+ years of experience - or equivalent mix of education/experience.
5+ years of experience supporting structural or electrical rework/repairs for aircraft.
Prior experience with Commercial Material Review or relevant aerospace programs.
Strong communication skills, quick decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
Must be open to rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) and overtime.
Work includes factory conditions: stairs, confined spaces, noise, and chemical exposure.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:
8+ years troubleshooting avionics or electrical systems, including wire bundle installations.
Experience performing root cause analysis and writing non-conformance dispositions.
MRB Certification (Materials Review Board).
Hands-on experience with executive interior modifications or wide-body aircraft repairs.
