Description
Project engineer is part of the QCAA Part M-CAMO and is responsible for the management of aircraft completion or modification projects undertaken by a contracted agency. He is committed to act with overall accuracy and has a technical background within the aircraft industry. He supports the Senior Manager CAMO in their duties regarding the airworthiness of the Amiri Flight aircrafts by being;
1. Prepare detailed Product Specification Documents, work scopes, requirements and specifications in detail and with technical accuracy under the guidelines provided. Identify and include all design, technical and regulatory aspects and all applicable company requirements accordingly.
2. Request for Information, Request for Proposal, Request for Tender, Request for Quotes directly with the MRO and other service providers.
3. Assist Procurement to initiate & establish Purchase / Service Agreements.
4. Work closely with System Engineers and Support Engineers to pick up requirements such as but not limited to: Obsolete Parts / Systems, required modifications, cabin refurbishments etc. to research and develop technical solutions within the AF Fleet.
5. Be proactive to identify future requirements of required solutions and launch the programs / evaluations ahead of time.
6. Participate in commercial evaluation of all commercial proposals and negotiations with vendors for obtaining benefits for Amiri Flight.
7. Assist all internal stake holders to negotiate and secure the best technical and commercial solutions to meet Pax and AF requirements.
8. Keep track of project timelines and milestones to ensure timely delivery.
9. Review Engineering data, drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic and other relevant documents and provide recommendations / solutions accordingly.
10. Provide relevant technical information of new product to all stake holders prior to EIS.
11. Follow, manage and oversee Cabin Outfitting’s, modifications and other program activities for Amiri Flight.
12. Always maintain effective coordination and communication with aircraft manufacturers, suppliers, MROs, vendors and other internal/external stake holders to obtain their inputs and feedback on all project related matters.
13. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of Department.
14. Support in the System Engineering for expertise, leave absence or additional duties.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or apprenticeship in Technical Profession equivalent to Bachelors degree or holder of a Part 66 License.
Experience
- Five years experience in aircraft Projects / Program
- Comprehensive Aviation knowledge
