Your Role & ImpactAs a Propulsion Engineer, you will be at the forefront of advanced aircraft development, supporting critical propulsion systems across major programs like the 767, 777, and VC-25B. Your expertise will directly influence system performance, regulatory certification, and the safe, reliable operation of next-generation aircraft.
Location & Schedule- Location: Everett, WA
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (First Shift)
- Job Type: Full-time Consultant (6-month contract)
- Pay Rate Starting at : $63.04 /hour
What You’ll Do- Perform installations analysis within the propulsion engineering team
- Support development, qualification, and certification of propulsion systems, including:
- Fire safety
- Component cooling
- Fuel heating
- Oil cooling
- Engine starting systems
- Lead requirements definition, validation, and verification for FAA and EASA certification
- Generate and review certification data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Draft and approve test plans for component, engine, and aircraft-level testing
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and peer reviewer for technical deliverables
- Collaborate with major engine manufacturers such as GE, Rolls-Royce, and Pratt & Whitney
- Manage project milestones, schedules, and provide updates to leadership
- Support cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced engineering environment
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field
- 9+ years of experience (or Master’s with 7+ years; PhD with 4+ years)
- Experience with propulsion systems and installations analysis
- Knowledge of FAA and/or EASA certification processes
- Strong project leadership and coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead within a cross-functional team
Preferred Qualifications- Previous experience supporting aircraft development programs
- Familiarity with Design Analysis Engineering (DAE)
- Experience working directly with engine manufacturers or regulatory authorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex engineering environments
