Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is looking to hire a Quality Engineer to support our Grand Prairie, TX site. This position is part of LM MFC Dallas Operations Quality Engineering team.
The selected candidate for this role will maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement while providing Quality Engineering support for the production of mechanical manufactured components and assemblies.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
•Apply quality principles in the areas of: design, manufacturing, incoming materials, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
•Perform technical evaluations by understanding product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
•Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conduct product quality tests, perform statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
•Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards and requirements are met.
•Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
•Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
•Develop strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
•Evaluate quality systems for deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, etc.) or higher.
-2+ years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Desired Skills:
-Manufacturing experience in additive manufacturing, machining, welding, mechanical assembly
-ASQ certification
-Six Sigma Green Belt certification
-Familiarity with industry standards (AS9100, ISO-9001, IPC and J-STD)
-Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102 and working with government customers

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
