Collins Aerospace is looking for a motivated Quality Engineer - Metrology to join our dynamic team. You will need to be a curious and relentless problem solver bringing your skills and abilities to bear on issues and opportunities arising on our legacy programs.
What You Will Do
Perform three-dimensional inspection utilizing Spatial Analyzer software in addition to various traditional metrology tools for in-process inspections and alignments of large complex naval parts.
Write measurement scripts within Spatial analyzer.
Evaluate and prepare metrology reports for customer deliverables.
Independently work and communicate with operations, engineering, management, and other disciplines to ensure timely delivery of measurement results.
Interface with all levels of management and coworkers to resolve technical/quality issues related to internal and external product and process quality performance.
Be the voice of the customer in a manufacturing setting.
Write and help support standard work.
Work alongside existing Quality Engineers to develop an understanding of program requirements and Engineering methodology for future program support.
Perform root cause analysis for non-conformities and improvement process
Support audits in compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001
Investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances and determine appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
Complete and maintain customer documentation.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of Quality Assurance or/and Quality Control experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 1 year of experience
Experience with GD&T
Able to be flexible around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime.
Experience with ERP Systems

Qualifications We Prefer
Ability to obtain, organize and analyze quality data.
Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, internal and external.
Basic computer and scripting skills
Experience in SAP
Experience in an AS9100 certified environment or similar operating system certifications (IATF16949, ISO-9001-2015, etc.)

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
