Embark on an exciting journey on our Business & Regional Avionics Customer Quality team located at our Burnsville, MN facility. You will gain real world experience working along side Customer Quality Managers who act as the primary customer point of contact for quality focused on improving satisfaction through quality improvement initiatives. This includes activities such as working with a cross functional team and performing root cause analysis.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:

  • Support production improvement and new product introduction projects.
  • Conduct product failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Assist in managing and ensuring supplier quality.
  • Help implement and maintain quality management systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing tools.

What You Will Learn:

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Problem-solving methods like 8D and root cause analysis.
  • Supplier Quality Assurance: Key aspects of managing supplier quality.
  • New Product Development: Phases and tools of new product development and launch.
  • Quality Management Systems: Standards and certification processes.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Techniques like 5S and Value Stream Mapping.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Has basic knowledge of tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Characteristic Matrix, Gage Capability, Process Capability, Process Flow, Preventive Maintenance, Machine Runoff, etc.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
