BAE Systems is seeking a SCA Engineering Technician III to provide technical support for various systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for integration, maintenance and troubleshooting, flight test support, fleet support, and operational testing of ship based system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of complex systems and equipment
• Conduct testing and validation of system components and assemblies
• Provide technical support for system installation, integration, and operation
• Develop and implement test plans and procedures
• Analyze and resolve technical issues and problems
• Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to design and develop new systems and equipment
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and records

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Marys County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Marys County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

• High School diploma and at least 4 years of related experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Understanding of electronic components
• Understanding of functional schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience electronic systems to include assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting
• Ability to obtain a passport

• Completion of a technical program, such as a technical school, trade school, or armed services school, in a field related to electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, or engineering technology
• Coursework in Engineering Technology or a related field, or completion of at least 30 semester hours of coursework in an engineering, scientific, or technical curriculum at a college or university
