Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Design Engineer for our Brazonics team within Mission Systems.

Brazonics, Inc. is a brazing, machining and engineering company based out of Hampton, New Hampshire. Brazonics specializes in dip and vacuum brazing combined with highly sophisticated chassis testing.

The selected candidate will support the Thermal and Electronic Solutions team within Mission Systems and the individual will play a key role in the organization as they prepare for a facility relocation.

This is an ONSITE position located in Hampton, NH but will be moving to Durham, NH in 2025.

  What You Will Do

• Creates and reviews part & assembly models and drawings
• Review drawings and specifications to establish manufacturing process
• Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Completes design for manufacturing reviews to improve manufacturability
• Conducts complex tolerance stack-up
• Participates in Material Review Board (MRB)
• Support production areas and deliver project work packages, ensuring adherence to technical quality standards across product, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and compliance requirements
• Participates in quote review process
• Supporting daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting, incorporation of engineering changes into the manufacturing data packages
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing areas, setting and upholding high standards while leading by example
• Utilize problem-solving methodologies such as 8D Analysis to contribute to Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) and resolve day-to-day issues
• Identifies and reacts to project problems and recommends solutions

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Qualifications We Prefer

• Solidworks PDM Experience
• Direct experience in aerospace manufacturing
• Direct experience with reviewing specs, BOM and router creation
• Tracking milestones, GANTT charts, following up on action items and deliverables through completion
• Experience with ERPs- preferably EPICOR
• Experience with Heat Treating
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work in a team environment

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
