Raytheon is looking for an engineer to join our world-class team as a Senior Java Software Engineer / Scrum Master. In this role, you will work with a distributed team and facilitate scrum events including sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review and sprint retrospective, and work to remove obstacles that may impede the teams progress. This position is located onsite in Richardson, Texas (Cityline).
What You Will Do
- Opportunity to use your understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns, and Object Oriented architecture.
- Demonstrate your critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well.
- Limited travel will be required to support Release Planning Events Events (RPEs) with the customer
- Obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance and pass polygraph.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior, relevant experience.
- Experience developing complex applications using Java.
- Experience as a scrum master or Scrum Master Certification.
- Experience with Agile or DevSecOps toolsets (e.g. Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.).
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required. The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI poly is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph
- CSM certification
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience with AWS Cloud Technologies
- Experienced working with a geographically distributed team
- Ability to support limited business travel for customer meetings.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
