Secret Clearance Required to Start
Lead cyber architecture, technology evaluation, testing, and compliance for U.S. ground combat vehicles, ensuring integrated, compliant, and mission-ready systems. This position drives cyber-physical security best practices across engineering disciplines, manages system-level requirements, and oversees verification, troubleshooting, and compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities:
Execute technical guidance from Chief Engineer, Systems Engineering Manager, and functional leadership.
Manage system-level cyber requirements, architecture, and design compliance, including SWaP-CRaM (Space, Weight, Power-Cooling, Reliability, Maintainability).
Oversee requirements allocation, trade studies, and structured decision-making for cyber-physical designs.
Lead verification planning and manage execution for development, production, and field testing.
Coordinate threat analysis, interface development, and compliance activities with cross-functional IPTs.
Direct root cause analysis and corrective actions for design and integration issues.
Evaluate emerging Cyber and C5ISR technologies for integration into ground combat platforms.
Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53 requirements.
Prepare and maintain SSPs, POA&Ms, and related compliance documentation.
Support and promote a cyber security culture across the engineering organization.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field (cybersecurity technical certifications considered).
Experience: 10+ years in engineering/military projects, including leadership in technical development.
Clearance: Active U.S. Security Clearance required.
Required Skills/Experience:
Embedded system engineering with cyber security focus.
Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA), Cyber Tabletop Exercises (CTTX).
Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML.
Cyber warfare (offensive/defensive) knowledge.
Federal compliance documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms).
Experience in military vehicle development/integration.
Understanding of cyber-physical system security.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work on/around military vehicles and pass ASR confined space test.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with electrical LRUs, embedded systems, automotive/military electronics, and software engineering principles.
