POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Sales Engineer supports the Regional Sales Directors leading technical discussions with customers during sales campaigns, aiming to educate and translate the product value proposition to their reality, fostering Embraer’s sales effort and lasting success. Main activities include joining customer visits, guiding and developing persuasive aircraft performance analysis, ownership cost analysis, comparative studies, and any aircraft/company-related material. Due to their technical authority, they represent the company externally at tradeshows and conferences globally.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent the company in high-profile sales campaigns and events, engaging with Corporate Flight Departments, Fleet Operators, and Individual Buyers.
- Lead technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders, elucidating every aspect of the product and its associated offerings.
Serve as a company-wide authority in Aircraft Performance, interfacing with Product Development engineering, crafting persuasive analyses and developing supportive tools. - Formulate Aircraft Performance Guarantees, balancing customer satisfaction with the companys integrity and interests.
- Master aircraft cost of ownership and operations, creating sophisticated financial scenarios and tools.
- Conduct insightful comparative studies of Embraer aircraft against competitors
- Provide comprehensive training to the Sales Team and mentor entry-level Sales Engineers.
- Maintain and enhance the Embraer Sales Kit, ensuring it contains up-to-date and relevant information.
- Propose design and performance enhancements to the Product Strategy and Engineering teams.
- Stay abreast of spanet trends, bringing new knowledge to the team.
- Cultivate external relationships with industry players and influencers, aligning with sales objectives.
- Support Marketing initiatives, ensuring the product value proposition is excellently represented.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
BA Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields
Experience:
Experience in a sales engineering, sales, sales support, flight operations engineering, product development engineering or similar function.
Relevant knowledge of aircraft performance and/or aircraft systems required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work under pressure and highly dynamic scenarios
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Self-starter
Extensive knowledge in a specialty area and in all other interrelated tasks and responsibilities of the job function.
Takes leadership for applying new processes and skills to improve the functions status quo.
Advanced PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Desired software programing skills & aircraft performance software: VBA, SCAP modules, OPERA etc.
Working Conditions / Environment/Special Requirements
Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of sales department, spaneting or tools development. Up to 25 travel required.
