Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Job Description:

Signature Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to drive operational excellence, reliability, and performance across our next-generation web and mobile digital platforms.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, product, and security teams to design resilient systems, build world-class observability, automate operations, and support the seamless delivery of web and mobile digital experiences.

You will play a critical role in scaling our cloud-native, microservices-driven environments while ensuring availability, security, and performance for global users. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a direct contribution to the success and resilience of our digital engineering initiatives at Signature Aviation.

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure for digital applications and platforms (web and mobile).
  • Implement and manage robust monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks across all environments to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to design for high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Drive automation initiatives for deployments, operations, scaling, and incident response through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps best practices.
  • Lead incident management — ensuring rapid detection, coordinated response, root cause analysis (RCA), and remediation efforts.
  • Integrate SRE principles such as SLAs, SLOs, and Error Budgets into application development and deployment processes.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, safe, and reliable releases.
  • Contribute to ARB (Architecture Review Board) governance with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational best practices.
  • Champion a "shift-left" mindset for monitoring, performance, and security within product engineering teams.
  • Support both web and mobile platform operations to ensure consistent reliability across user touchpoints.

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Proven success managing production environments for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience implementing and maintaining observability solutions (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience leading incident management, with a strong focus on proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and API-driven platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery processes and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.

Additional knowledge and skills:

  • Cloud Platforms: Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP.
  • Containerization & Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, Azure DevOps, ARM templates.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Splunk, Dynatrace, Akamai, Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, ELK Stack, Azure Monitor.
  • Automation & DevOps: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Application Stack: Microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, React web frontends, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS.
  • Authentication & Security: Auth0, OAuth, best practices for securing APIs and cloud-native systems.
  • Incident & Problem Management: ServiceNow or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing mobile applications (iOS, Android) from an SRE perspective.
  • Azure Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or equivalent certifications.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML-driven anomaly detection and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Expertise in cloud cost management and optimization.
