The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer–Test & Verification to support our Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) team located in Hazelwood, Missouri.

Our amazing team of engineers develops, fields, and supports platform health management systems for the F/A-18, MQ-25, F-15, T-38, T-7, and proprietary platforms. Our software acquires and manages platform health and usage data, performs health, and usage assessment and recommends maintenance actions. We are tasked with the creation, design, development, modification, proof of concept, verification, testing, and demonstration of products and solutions to maximize platform mission readiness and effectiveness, reduce lifecycle costs, and keep our customers safe.
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) & Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering organization. The GVHMS team develops, fields and supports health management systems for defense platforms. The Central Maintenance Computing System (CMCS) is an on-board system that acquires, stores, analyzes and reports the health of the vehicle. The team is looking for a highly motivated software test and verification engineer to test software, derive test cases from requirements, and develop automated test cases throughout phases of the software development life cycle (requirements, design, implementation and verification). The software test and verification engineer will document, design, plan, and design CMCS software test functionality.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain robust Python script
Utilize Cucumber / Gherkin for behavior-driven development to create clear and concise test scenarios
Experience with tools like Git, Jira, or an equivalent for version control and project tracking
Experience with test frameworks to design, implement, and execute comprehensive testing solutions
Create, plan, and execute a test cycle
Analyze program requirements to develop new, effective test cases that ensure comprehensive coverage of functionalities
Document software bugs with appropriate information for analysis (environment information, data logs, etc.)
Communicate with multifunctional skill teams including software engineers, systems engineers, and hardware engineers
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret security clearance
8+ years of experience in writing Software Test Plans (STP), Software Test Descriptions (STD), and Software Test Reports (STR)
5+ years of experience creating scripts in Python
3+ years of experience with Quality Automation Tools (ex. Selenium, Cucumber, LoadRunner)
Experience with Ethernet Network Data Buses
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
1+ years of experience with MIL-STD-1553 and/or MIL-STD-1760 communication protocols
Active Secret Clearance
Familiarization with hardware and network architecture including server and client environments
Familiarization with military aircraft flightline operations
C experience or familiarity with Ranorex for automated testing

Summary pay range for Senior Level $122,400 - $165,600
