BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering discipline; OR 3+ years of professional experience with site reliability or DevOps in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years writing and deploying software applications in production.
- 3+ years provisioning and administering Kubernetes clusters in production.
- 3+ years architecting and maintaining tooling for automating Kubernetes cluster installation and lifecycle management.
- 3+ years using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps patterns for managing infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and common plugins.
- Willingness to gain and maintain an active security clearance.
- Experience deploying and administering on-premise or cloud-based Kubernetes cluster installations.
- Experience with data structures/algorithms and software development in one or more programming languages.
- Experience collaborating on shared source code using common source control systems.
- Experience with provisioning and administering Linux operating systems, configuring installations, debugging and troubleshooting.
- Experience deploying observability solutions for Kubernetes and Linux systems to measure and define SLOs/SLIs.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must be willing to participate in off hours on-call rotation.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Site Reliability Engineer/Level I: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00/per year
Site Reliability Engineer/Level II: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
