You will be the Software Engineer with RF experience to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in the development of state-of-the-art, real-time, pilot-in-the-loop fighter simulations within the Simulation and Systems Laboratories.
About the Role:
We are looking for a talented RF engineer to join our team, where you will work on the development of software models that simulate primarily radar and EW aircraft systems and avionics. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the development of new software systems, testing and debugging existing systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, integrate, document, test, and debug both vendor provided and internally developed Radar and EW software models.
• Work with a team to design, develop, and test aircraft system, and avionics software models.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure the successful integration of software and hardware systems.
• Analyze system capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
• Work with external stakeholders to integrate aircraft radar/EW models within a simulated RF environment
You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical preferred).
• Experience with radar/EW systems and/or the RF environment.
• Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, or ADA
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems
• Current Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, or related field, from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of aircraft non-linear and linear 3-DOF and 6-DOF simulations.
• Experience with, or knowledge of, basic aircraft systems.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
