As a Sr. Mechanical Engineering Designer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and transition to production of electronics packaging solutions for high and low power converters. You will participate in design of new products, support initial fabrication of new products, and resolve manufacturing problems of mature products through the development of CAD models, generation of detailed part and assembly drawings, and creation and incorporation of engineering change notices. Designers partner with a team of engineers to develop high-density packaging solutions capable of meeting challenging engineering design specifications and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of complex technical design tasks using computer aided design (CAD) equipment.
- Utilizes expansive knowledge and abilities to work on assignments that are non-routine in nature and where no established procedures may exist.
- Works on 3D modeling and packaging of products.
- Drawings of machine parts and sheet metal parts
- Create wire list and wiring diagrams from Engineer inputs.
- Generate BOM and assembly drawings.
- Write and incorporate Engineering Change Notices.
- Requires the use of initiative and judgment.
- Performs other duties as required by business needs.
