Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $104.39-$109.39/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Active Secret Clearance Required
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and integrate embedded software in C, C++, and Python
Implement and debug software on Linux platforms and RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems)
Perform hardware/software integration and support system-level testing
Ensure compliance with DO-178 software development standards
Apply Agile methodologies to support iterative development and continuous improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, hardware, and test engineers
Develop and maintain technical documentation in alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) standards
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field(Master’s degree acceptable with reduced experience requirement)
10+ years of embedded software engineering experience (or 8+ years with a Master’s degree)
Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire
Proficiency in C, C++, Python
Experience with embedded systems, Linux, RTOS, and HW/SW integration
Background in DO-178 compliant software development
Experience working in or with Agile environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated success leading full software development lifecycle
Deep understanding of technical standards, coding methodologies, and system architecture
Ability to contribute to and lead technical teams
Commitment to continuous professional development and mentorship
