Honeywell is hiring a Sr. Advanced Project Engineer for Aerospace Avionics Product Development in Deer Valley, Arizona, within the Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS) Center of Excellence. The CNS team, headquartered in Deer Valley, has a global presence with design teams in Arizona, Minneapolis, India, Czech Republic, and China.

In this role, you will lead and manage engineering projects across the global CNS domain, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will oversee project planning, budgeting, and execution, ensuring efficient delivery and driving operational excellence. Additionally, you will mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong communication, integrity, and teamwork are essential, along with the ability to work across functions and build strong relationships with customers and certification agencies.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS:
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates.
•Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.
•Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft project.
•Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
•Lead a robust risk management process to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
•Contain scope growth though robust baseline change management.
•Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.

YOU MUST HAVE:
•Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or related field
•6+ years of experience in project engineering or related roles

WE VALUE:
•6+ years of experience in project engineering, program management, or product management within the Aerospace industry
•Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
•Ability to lead teams to fast, practical solutions using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
•Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
•Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
•Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements.
•Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
•Willingness to travel to customer and internal Honeywell meetings both domestic and international.
•Advanced degree preferred.
