As a Sr Quality Engineer - Repair and Overhaul here at HoneywellAerospace Technologies (AERO), you will play a crucial role in ensuring thequality and reliability of our products. You will be accountable forimplementing and maintaining quality control systems, conducting inspectionsand audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise willcontribute to the success of our aerospace technologies and help us deliversafe and reliable solutions to our customers.
You will report directly to our Quality Manager and youll work out of ourUrbana, OH location onsite.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct thorough quality inspections on repaired aircraft components, verifying adherence to established procedures and specifications.
- Perform audits of repair processes and documentation to identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot quality concerns and ensure proper repair techniques are utilized.
- Review and approve repair documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and technical data packages.
- Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends, initiate preventive measures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct training sessions for technicians on quality standards, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a strong understanding of FAA Part 145 regulations and applicable industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits, demonstrating compliance with quality systems.
- Investigate non-conformance reports, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws andregulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S.citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. underasylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
YOU MUST HAVE- One or more years of experience in a role within an FAA Part 145 repair station environment.
WE VALUE
- Bachelors degree in engineering, quality assurance, or a related field.
- A&P Mechanic certification preferred, but not required.
- Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and quality standards.
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in quality management systems and documentation practices.
