Engineer the Structures That Make Flight PossiblePDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer to hire a Structural Analysis Engineer who will play a critical role in ensuring aircraft structural integrity, performance, and certification compliance.
This position supports the design, validation, and sustainment of aircraft structures through advanced analytical methods and testing collaboration. Location: Berkeley, MO
Schedule: Monday–Friday 1st Shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Strong Potential for Extension)
Pay Rate: Starting at $71.00/HR + based on experience
What You’ll DoDevelop and validate structural requirements supporting aircraft system and component design
Perform structural analysis using hand calculations and finite element modeling (FEM)
Utilize tools such as PATRAN, NASTRAN, and NX/Teamcenter to assess structural performance
Evaluate strength, stability, fatigue, and damage tolerance of aircraft structures
Support design reviews and guide engineering decisions through analytical findings
Develop and support structural test plans and analyze test results
Document analysis and certification data for regulatory compliance
Investigate in-service structural issues and recommend corrective actions
Contribute across the product lifecycle — from development through sustainment
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Aeronautical, or Materials Engineering
5+ years of structural analysis experience in aerospace or related industry
Strong background in hand calculations and FEM-based structural analysis
Experience with PATRAN/NASTRAN (or similar FEM software)
Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter (or equivalent CAD/PDM systems)
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance
Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations
Preferred QualificationsAdvanced engineering degree
ABET-accredited program
Experience supporting FAA or military certification programs
Background in aircraft structural testing and validation
Experience analyzing primary aircraft structures
