Mission
Within the Engineering department, as engineer in the structures domain, you will be active in a variety of CAMO aircraft structures activities together with your colleagues. Your main activities are: aircraft structural repairs, service bulletins study, analysing aircraft damage reports, issuing maintenance & repair procedures
Tasks
- You work in a team and will be responsible for your assigned aircraft structure issues in line and light maintenance. You will deliver and follow up approved cost effective structural repair instructions in cooperation with the aircraft manufacturers.
- Preparation, follow up and administration of the Heavy Maintenance check’s, mainly structures related inspections, Modifications & repairs
- You will analyse findings of maintenance inspections and advise preventive actions to improve the aircraft structure reliability, your solutions will reduce the base maintenance cost and the production manhours by avoiding repetitive findings & repairs on the aircraft structure
- All incoming OEM data (Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives) will be studied, evaluated, discussed and you make recommendations & instructions for implementation
- Aircraft damages require your prompt attention and involvement on site, in order to issue the necessary repair instructions to regain the airworthiness condition of the aircraft. You will instruct a team of sheet metal technicians during the repair of the aircraft
- Follow up of shop visits from removable structure nacelle components : air intake, thrust reversers, fan cowls (e.g. definition and approval of repair or overhaul scope, repair or overhaul progress, invoice screening and approval)
- Specific tasks can be requested during study and implementation of projects
- You will analyse projects and make business cases for larger structural modifications
Your profile
- Minimum Bachelor degree in electro-mechanics or mechanics, with specialisation in aerospace
- Strong analytical performance in analysing problems and be critical in studies
- Be well grounded in technical knowledge and communication skills to achieve the objectives
- English & Dutch language verbal and written skills (French is an advantage)
- Knowledge of MS office required
- Have a good team spirit
- Able to manage problems and projects in an orderly manner, project management is an advantage
- Be able to work under stress and show the necessary flexibility in favour of our flight operations
- Motivated by achievements
- Strong personality and good communication skills as an “airline representative” to discuss and defend your technical-commercial problems in a professional manner
- Good reporting skills
- Be able to perform administrative work & follow up in a structured way
