Drive Technical Excellence in Aerospace Support DocumentationPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Support Engineering Data Specialist to partner with a global leader in the aerospace industry. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in developing and maintaining the technical publications that ensure aerospace systems operate safely, efficiently, and effectively. Your work will directly support maintenance teams, engineers, and operators by transforming complex engineering data into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation.
What You’ll DoDevelop technical publications for all levels of maintenance, including:
Theory of operations
Flight manuals
Testing and troubleshooting procedures
Illustrated parts breakdowns
Removal and installation procedures
Schematic diagrams
Resolve gaps and inconsistencies in source data with originators.
Provide art span-ups and update documentation based on reviews, data changes, or equipment modifications.
Collect, research, and analyze data such as equipment requirements, maintenance concepts, workflows, and task analyses.
Identify inaccuracies in source data and take corrective action.
Validate assumptions and conduct peer reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer standards.
Support verification reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
What You’ll BringRequired Qualifications:
Proficiency in MS Office products.
Familiarity with XML and Contenta.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to interpret complex engineering concepts and translate them into clear documentation.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with S1000D and Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) publications.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience, OR equivalent advanced education/experience combination (Master’s degree +1 year, or 7+ years of industry experience).
