Summary:
Supports the design, certification, and sustainment of commercial aircraft, applying advanced reliability and maintainability engineering principles to optimize performance, lifecycle economics, and compliance with safety and airworthiness requirements.
Conduct modeling, simulation, and data analytics, including statistical/probabilistic analyses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Support technical performance measures (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, operational availability, and maintenance costs.
Perform failure mode analysis, reliability testing, and certification assessments.
Utilize digital maintainability tools, including virtual and augmented reality.
Engage with suppliers, business partners, airline customers, and internal teams.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET accreditation preferred).
8+ years of engineering experience.
5+ years of Reliability Engineering experience in commercial aviation.
Expertise in Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) for aircraft certification.
Proficiency in FTA tools (e.g., CAFTA, ReliaSoft, FaultTree+).
Experience with airplane systems design (e.g., Propulsion, Avionics, Electrical, Flight Controls).
Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, Green Card holder, Refugee, or Asylee) per export control regulations.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
Strong background in project planning and execution.
Technical leadership experience.
