About the Role
PDS Tech Commercial is hiring Systems Engineers to support high-priority Missile Defense Programs that are part of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). These programs protect the United States and its allies from evolving global threats. As a Systems Engineer, you’ll work alongside a team of top-tier professionals at the forefront of aerospace defense technology, designing and optimizing critical systems that deliver real-world mission success.
Based 100 onsite in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL, this is a rare opportunity to make a lasting impact in the defense of our nation—while working on some of the most advanced systems in the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with industry partners to develop and execute comprehensive assessment programs for missile defense command and control systems.
Evaluate systems under various architectures to optimize performance and mission effectiveness.
Develop and apply models, simulations, and system analysis tools to assess system behavior against current and future threats.
Support integration, test planning, and performance verification of complex systems.
Create, manage, and improve requirements and architecture using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO, DOORS, and System Architect.
Lead system integration activities, track performance metrics, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Analyze test results, define technical trade-offs, and help drive system design decisions.
Interface with internal teams and external government stakeholders to solve highly complex technical challenges.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
Minimum 2 years of experience in systems engineering (requirements, architecture, integration, or testing).
U.S. Secret Security Clearance required (active within the last 24 months).
Strong analytical, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Active Top Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
Experience with DoD systems, missile defense architectures, and Agile development practices.
Knowledge of requirements verification, system test planning, and automated testing.
Proficiency in simulation or scripting tools such as MATLAB, Python, or Java.
Experience conducting trade studies, performance assessments, and mission analysis for defense systems.

Pay Details: $69.88 to $87.72 per hour
