The US Controls Systems Discipline Leader sits on the Engineering Staff with responsibility to oversee the Systems organization supporting the Controls & Avionics Solutions (CAS) and Power & Propulsion Solutions (PPS) business areas. Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Product Realization Group Leads and Discipline Managers to staff near term project demand while defining and executing robust talent management plans.
- Develop a healthy pipeline of future technical leaders across the organization, inclusive of our college hire programs.
- Establish, implement, and own the strategic direction for the discipline domains in alignment with business needs / plans / strategies.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve engineering technical capabilities in order to optimize domain execution and overall business growth.
- Successfully drive continuous process improvement initiatives to increase efficiencies, meet cost takeout objectives, support execution needs, and promote agility.
- Identify and own productivity and capability measures.
- Establish a collaborative environment to fully leverage best practices, tools, people and resources across the organization.
- Lead large-scale change initiatives.
