ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

The Technical Design Architect at SITA plays a pivotal role in designing, documenting, and delivering advanced infrastructure solutions for global airport clients. This role combines technical planning, solution architecture, and stakeholder engagement to ensure SITAs services are scalable, secure, and operate at high standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Infrastructure & Solution Design:
• Architect cost-effective and innovative infrastructure solutions tailored to customer requirements, covering public cloud, virtualization platforms, physical and virtual storage, networks, and disaster recovery/business continuity strategies.
• Produce technical architecture and solution design documents in alignment with client requirements and SITA’s product portfolio.
• Lead solution architecture and design for RFPs and bid submissions across the region.

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in the solution design field.
• Extensive knowledge of network infrastructure (Cisco/Juniper), Server technologies (HP/DELL), virtualization (VMWare/Hyper-V), cloud computing (Azure/AWS), and Storage solutions (VSAN/SAN).
• Deep understanding of IT security principles, including Firewall and Load Balancer technologies.
• Proven track record of designing infrastructure solutions for Tier 1 airports and managing complex technical bids.
• Experience in the aviation industry (preferred).
• Working knowledge of bid management processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
• Good presentation skills to be able to present the solution to the customer.
• Experience with SITA’s products is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of how IT infrastructure supports business objectives.
