JOB TITLE: Aircraft Upholstery Technician II

Summary:
Fabricate and install flat panels, curtains, and interior covers using aircraft specifications and engineering drawings
Sew simple upholstery covers when required
Work with fabric, vinyl, leather, composites, and other approved interior materials using adhesives, sewing equipment, hand tools, and power tools
Cut and serge carpets; install and cover bulkheads, panels, headliners, sidewalls, hatch panels, and windows
Use material tracking systems to manage parts demand, track discrepancies, and complete work sign-offs
Support process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles to improve safety, quality, cost efficiency, and production cycle time
Follow Corridor or equivalent tracking systems to manage upholstery work orders
Maintain safety, 5S, and housekeeping standards; use required personal protective equipment
Identify and report unsafe working conditions
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
2 years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and/or upholstery and carpet trade hand tools
Aerospace industry experience preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documentation
Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic mathematical calculations
Basic computer literacy required
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to work any shift
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
