RS Master Craftsperson Cabinet Finisher in GAC St. Louis

The compensation range for this role is $34.77 - $40.57 per hour.
Final compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to: minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.

10 years of cabinet finish experience preffered
Previously demonstrated high level of competency in all aspects of cabinet finishing and
interior cabinet paint.
Wood staining, toning and color matching experience.
Full knowledge of sanding processes, buffing, paint prep.
Able to apply U.V. coatings (handheld and roll coat machine).
Ability to touchup wood, paint, Aircraft squawks and repairs.
Full knowledge of finish processes, related CPS, and Gamps documents.
Able to locate, print, and complete Finish travelers.
Strong written, email, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate the ability to navigate applicable tech data for assigned department.
Demonstrate the ability to locate AC documents (Examples: IDDs, WCRs, Specs, etc.)
Demonstrate the ability to function at a lead capacity in the sites ERP System (Example: Corridor)
Demonstrate the ability to use the Engineering Change Request (ECR) System.
Past or current participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of safe work practices, EHS and SMS policies and procedures.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of completions schedule and labor allocations.
Function as a lead mentor for OJT training for all activities in assigned department.
Demonstrate knowledge of quality requirements and aircraft certification requirements for the assigned department.
Demonstrate proficiency in ordering parts/materials along with requirements of pertinent traceability documents.
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. 10 years extensive experience in production/manufacturing/service center. FAA A&P license or be able to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date.

Technical expert. Perform repairs on installations that require a high degree of accuracy and timeliness. Function independently in a team oriented work environment.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Perform technical functions such as correct methods of manufacturing, sequence of operations and methodology of assemblies and installations, as well as detail components.
- Troubleshoot any problem areas in tooling, production, assembly, aircraft systems and operations, composites, etc., to determine cause and pursue preventative actions with proper liaison which improves production efficiency and product quality.
- Assist in problem solving to establish or correct planning methods for producing parts and using tooling efficiently by utilizing standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Interact with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Control to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions.
- Organize, develop (with assistance of the Training Department) and administer the Employee Skills Development Program.
- Identify and develop training requirements for tooling, test equipment and other areas.
- Support Lean activities. .
Additional Functions:
- Perform tasks assigned to department mechanics or leads during their absence, when required. .
- Comply with standard operating procedures. .
- Complete all required. paperwork and documentation to include CMP cards, Travelers and R&I log. .
- Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies and use personal protective equipment. Ensure aircraft interior is protected (PTP). Assist in the development and implementation of related initiatives. .
- Perform repairs on installations that require a high degree of accuracy and timeliness. .
- Assist in training subordinates in proper techniques, processes and procedures. .
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing procedures and specifications, plant safety, tooling, and quality requirements.
- Familiar with CATIA V5 and Solumina software.
- Must have an established track record of troubleshooting manufacturing or installation processes.
- Proficient knowledge of all applicable machinery and processes necessary to perform the job including but not limited to (lathe, mill, surface grinder, contour roller, cold working tools, general sheet metal tools, UV curable coatings, sanding equipment, table saw, drill press, router, chop saw, time saver, jointer, planner, band saw, edge banding sander, disk sanders, resaw Foam Saws, Pin saw, general Upholstery tools, Surgers, Sewing machine, toning, stripping (chemical/heat), touch-up, spraying, buffing, staining, painting, paint color matching, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess leadership skills and the ability to communicate and impart knowledge to others.
- Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work any shift.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
