McWilliams Forge Company, in Rockaway, NJ, is a well-established leader in the manufacture of precision forged products for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a Lab Intern for our metallurgy and lab department. We are looking for a candidate who has obtained or is currently pursuing a degree in engineering or related fields. A hard, driven worker who is eager to learn with the ability to follow instruction. This is an internship role with direct supervision.
Requirements
- Receive Pos in Visual per the Inbound report lab supervisor provides every morning.
- Maintain the Retention database, this includes working with process engineer and sometimes our customer to document the retention information per part.
- Scrap material and document what is being scrapped, weight and material.
- Train to perform full labs.
- Scanning of optical reports in our database for archiving.
- Help with 6S initiatives.

The range of pay for this role is $19 to $19 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the companys medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.
