Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Calibration Technician 2 to join our team in Rolling Meadows, IL.

Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Tests calibrate, adjusts, and maintains electronic, thermal, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydromechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures according to detailed procedures, specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters. May monitor and verify quality by statistical processes or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Working knowledge of general electronic test equipment; DMM’s, Oscilloscopes, multifunction calibrators, thermocouple simulators, etc...
  • Experience in a high energy /fast-paced metrology environment with good computer and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Military Metrology training/education, such as PMEL, TMDE, or equivalent.
  • Familiar with ISO17025 or ANSI Z540-1
  • Familiar with GIDEP, military & manufacturer calibration specifications

MANQME

Salary Range: $50,600 - $84,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
