Schedule: 1st Shift: Mon-Sat 7 am start time
*OT REQUIRED - 2 hours daily and 1-2 Saturdays for 8 hours

At PDS Tech Commercial, we are searching for a highly motivated Fabricator to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry, specializing in aircraft equipment and component fabrication. This role is essential in supporting the production of high-performance, precision-engineered parts that keep aircraft in motion and safe in the skies.
Position Overview
The Fabricator supports development, performance, reliability, and functional testing of HVAC equipment in compliance with UL standards and internal engineering requirements. This role involves hands?on assembly, instrumentation, electrical and mechanical modifications, and precise data collection to ensure high quality, spanet ready products.
Key ResponsibilitiesLab Testing & Equipment SetupPrepare, instrument, and run HVAC testing on VRF and DLS units and accessories.
Fabricate, assemble, and modify test apparatuses and ductwork.
Install HVAC units into psychrometric test rooms and decommission units post?testing.
Install thermocouples and sensors for accurate test measurements.
Control test room support equipment to maintain required temperature and humidity conditions.
Technical Support & ModificationsPerform electrical and mechanical modifications to test units and components.
Coordinate with engineers and fellow technicians to swap components and configurations.
Calibrate test equipment and troubleshoot units or instrumentation issues.
Tear down obsolete units and sort materials for scrap.
Data, Quality & ImprovementAccurately record and document test data using lab data systems and databases.
Balance high quality output with on time delivery of testing results.
Identify opportunities to improve lab processes and support implementation.
Assist with or lead lab objectives, initiatives, and capability improvements.
Education & CertificationsHigh School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (equivalent hands on experience considered)
EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification (required)
Required Qualifications2+ years of HVAC or machine shop experience
Understanding of refrigeration cycles, HVAC systems, and troubleshooting
Ability to install delicate test instrumentation
Basic electrical wiring knowledge
Experience working with pressurized and combustible gases
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment
Experience operating a fork truck and overhead crane
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and test data
Basic Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to multitask, reprioritize quickly, and follow written/verbal instructions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Pay Details: $29.88 per hour
