We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join our AERO team in our Joo Koon office. Your main focus is to produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will fabricate and inspect product to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production, and quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Precision Machines and perform basic Equipment Maintenance
- Check all Tooling, Gauges & NC Program are correct before commencing Jobs
- Set up and read through the programming, as well as make program alterations or troubleshoot on minor error encounters
- Control and ensure all functions operate properly to achieve high Quality Hardware as per Standard Time set
- Inspect parts Dimensions and Geometry as per M.O.T. Drawing / Blueprints specifications
- Ensure that machining work carried out meets the required Quality as stated in the respective Manuals and Technical Documents such as M.O.T.
- Co-ordinate with the Tool Re-Grinder on Tool rectification
- Initiate & implement Continuous Improvement activities (Kaizen) to improve Productivity & Quality
- Expected to be able to interpret Blueprints and Technical Work Instructions
- May be required to operate any one or a combination of the following Equipment including Grinding, Honing, Lapping, Drilling, Broaching, etc.
MUST HAVE:
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, NITEC/NTC in Precision Engineering
- At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in CNC Milling / CNC Turning
- Preferably with at least 18 months of aviation experience in the mechanical trade
- Experience in performing inspection of engine parts will be an advantage
- Knowledge in CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) will be an added advantage
- Must be familiar with the use of aircraft component manuals or publications
- General knowledge in the usage of Hand Tools is a must
- Proficient in the Set up & Operate CNC Lathe/Vertical/Horizontal machining centers for performing machining work
- Understanding of 5S and TPM concepts
- Experience with and understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools will be an added advantage
- Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Diligent, hardworking, and able to work in a fast pace working environment
- Committed and may be required to working rotating Shifts
- Must have basic Computer knowledge & skills
- Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage
WE VALUE:
- Committed and willing to work in machining environment.
- Good understanding of 5S and TPM concepts.
- Must have basic computer skills. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Experience and understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools will be an added advantage.
