Lay Up Technician I Job Description
Job Summary
Hand fabrication of composite parts, use your hands with precision on small items and in small spaces. You must have dexterity, and be quick and confident with your hands.
Schedule: Friday - Sunday; 5:00am - 5:30pm, OT as required.
*Please note, you will be scheduled for 36 hours per week on this shift, with an extra 4 hours being paid on a weekly basis. There is also a 12 differential added to this shift.
Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 months to 1 year of direct composite work or 3 years manufacturing experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills required
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Independent layup of 70 parts with knowledge in both SR and SF within their immediate cell.
- Achieve a minimum efficiency of 58.
- Maintains a high level of quality while balancing the need for efficiency.
- Use WI, Solumina, and complete the layup portion of CSOs independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail required. Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and always presentable. Apply the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
- Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties.
- Must be able to understand all process specifications and pertinent reference information.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines and report any hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions.

- Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, or Line Manager
