The Material Control Park Clerk Lead will perform a variety of administrative and technical assignments related to coordination of the flow of work and materials for the business unit. Works with the Inventory Control Leader to ensure adequate materials are available to meet production, work and shipment schedules. Reviews schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine the progress of work and target completion dates. Compiles reports on the progress of work, inventory levels, costs and production problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews production schedules and other pertinent reports to ascertain materials, priorities and personnel requirements.
Requisitions and maintains inventory of materials and supplies adequate to meet production demands.
Arranges for delivery and distribution of supplies and parts to expedite the flow of materials to meet production schedules.
Examines documents, materials and products and monitors work processes for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
Confers with establishment personnel, vendors, and customers to coordinate processing and shipping, and to resolve complaints. Interacts with management, operations, quality and transportation staff to resolve any related issues.
Monitors work progress, provides services such as personnel assignments, tickets and union information, and directs workers to expedite work flow.
Completes status reports, such as production progress, customer information, and materials inventory. Patrols and monitors work areas, examining tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules.
Ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting environmental health and safety, as well as quality. Performs such individual assignments as the Supervisor may direct; established and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
