As a Materials Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting aircraft maintenance technicians with their parts and tool needs, basic parts orders, maintaining records associated with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment. You will also drive the company vehicle, picking up and delivering documents, letters, packages, and other items on time. The driver also transports customers, personnel and visitors as required.

What youll do:

  • Uses the SA Menu inventory control system to record receipt, transfer, and reductions of parts and rotables. 
  • Initiates parts order requisitions when stock levels fall below minimum.
  • Places orders to replenish stock, as approved.
  • Conducts physical inventories. 
  • Collects tools for calibration
  • Aids with shipping/receiving paperwork and systems input. 
  • Supports technicians at Parts Window. 
  • Updates aircraft work-orders in company production control system (SA Menu) and create Excel spreadsheets.
  • Scans vendor invoices, quotes and workorders as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Reads and interpret documents such as P.O.s, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Writes routine reports and correspondence.
  • Drives company vehicle to pick-up and deliver aircraft parts in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner. 
  • Transports customers, personnel and visitors in company vehicles as required. 
  • Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of passengers and ensures timely and accurate transportation. 
  • Responsible for basic maintenance and upkeep of vehicles.
  • Keeps track of all transaction receipts and purchase orders. 
  • Maintains vehicle maintenance and cleanliness. 
  • Operates a forklift to move parts inside warehouse and hangar. 
  • Loads and unloads aircraft parts and supplies in van.
  • Releases orders from our system to the technicians and customers. 
  • Puts together aircraft kits for the technicians. Other duties as assigned.
  • Picks up and delivers documents, letters, packages and other items on time between organization facilities. Documents and tracks the items picked up and delivered. 
  • Responds to inquiries about pick-up and delivery schedules.
  • Performs light housekeeping duties, including dusting shelves, removing trash and sweeping/cleaning floors and tables. 
  • General administration duties and data entry.
  • Attends meetings and communicates status to supervisor and or teams. 
  • Prepares status reports and recap emails.
  • Create, use, and maintain StandardAero documentation.
  • Continuously improves skills; attends required training and any other training to improve professional and technical knowledge.
  • May be required to be on call.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years experience in a parts/materials environment
  • Computer literate; proficient to intermediate skill with Microsoft Office software
  • Intermediate to Advanced skill with Outlook and MS Excel
  • Able to learn new systems including SA Menu and other systems
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Typical work is conducted inside a hangar; some work may be in the Aircraft Hangar. There may be some exposure to excessive heat, fumes, chemicals, and loud noise. 
  • Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse and be seated for long periods of time.
  • Must possess mobility to work in Aircraft Hangar setting 
  • Viable and reliable transportation to and from work required. 
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and perform essential duties.
  • Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
  • Substantial periods of physical activity, including but not limited to:
    • Lifting / Carrying: 10-50lbs often and over 100lbs intermittently
    • Pushing / Pulling: 50lbs often and over 100bs at intermittently
    • Driving: An essential function of the position; Will drive as needed
    • Twisting / Turning: Reaching over shoulder, overhead, outward, climbing, crawling, kneeling, squatting, sitting, walking on uneven or slippery surfaces
    • Substantial periods of standing.

  • Excellent customer services skills when dealing with staff, clients, and vendors.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; high level of attention to detail; outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new computer programs. • Basic data entry skills required. Ability to handle multiple duties/priorities daily; ability to function effectively under deadlines and still maintain accuracy; able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to read write, speak fluently, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with team members; self-motivated; ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization and develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Able to complete assigned tasks, including follow-up assignments, in a timely manner.
  • Follow directions yet applies judgment and can be flexible.
  • Team member yet knows when to work independently.

  • Must be available to work overtime when needed and be able to travel outside of the local area within a short notice.

Salary: $28-35 per hour based on experience
