Summary:
Responsible for managing the full procurement cycle, including identifying suppliers, issuing purchase orders, expediting orders, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Identify and select primary and secondary suppliers.
Complete requests for quotes, negotiate contracts, and issue purchase orders.
Expedite orders, update purchase order status, and close out purchase orders.
Apply best practices to ensure compliance with company guidelines regarding price, service, quality, and delivery.
Process "Return to Vendor" and Non-Conformance reports.
Initiate vendor chargebacks and coordinate with departments to process credit memos.
Maintain standard costs for buy parts and outside services.
Handle invoice discrepancies.
Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree preferred.
2-3 years as a Buyer/Purchaser or equivalent experience required.
ERP system experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Aerospace experience preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of ISO, API, ASTM standards, and manufacturing processes (e.g., anodizing, plating, heat treatment) preferred.
APICS Certification is preferred.
