Summary:
Manage the procurement cycle, from identifying suppliers and issuing purchase orders to expediting orders and providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
Identify and select primary and secondary suppliers.
Request quotes, negotiate contracts, and issue purchase orders.
Expedite orders and maintain up-to-date purchase order status.
Ensure compliance with company guidelines regarding price, service, quality, and delivery.
Process Return to Vendor reports, Non-Conformance reports, and vendor chargebacks.
Maintain standard costs for buy parts and outside services.
Resolve invoice discrepancies.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree preferred.
2-3 years in a Buyer/Purchaser role or equivalent experience required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & ERP systems (Excel required).
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Aerospace experience preferred but not required.
APICS certification and knowledge of ISO, API, ASTM standards a plus.
Familiarity with processes like anodizing, plating, heat treatment, machining, and raw material procurement preferred.
