Position Summary
Under minimal supervision, Raw Material Handlers are able to work independently in several different inventory control functions by navigating the ERP system to perform a variety of tasks such as issuing material to work orders, researching material transactions to solve problems, and looking at planning details to understand future demand for inventory.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately interprets blueprints and material callouts for complex job requirements.
- Independently operates overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and band saws with safety and precision.
- Monitors material usage and proactively suggests substitutions or material reallocations based on real-time conditions.
- Acts as a liaison between Engineering, Planning, and Production for material-related problem solving.
- Maintains accurate records of material movements and stock levels using the ERP system.
- Supports inventory audits, resolve discrepancies, and assist in cycle counts.
- Mentors and provides on-the-job training to peers.
- Maintains an organized workspace (6S) and follows all safety procedures, including PPE, lifting, and proper equipment use.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a machine shop, warehouse, or logistics setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated experience with material planning and shop floor support systems.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel functions and ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to interpret material specifications and make material substitutions.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Highly organized with a strong sense of inventory accuracy and workflow efficiency.
- Capable of independent decision-making and troubleshooting in material handling processes.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.00 to $26.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the companys medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
