Position Description:
Title: Receiving Clerk
Status: Full Time
Department: Operatives
Summary:
A Receiving Clerk will process inbound materials (identify, inspect, receive, package correctly for storage) into system from variable sources including direct insert, RO, PO, and stock transfer. They assist with maintaining database integrity by resolving errors from audit reports. They will assist unloading and staging of materials into the receiving area, stage and count materials and move materials from receiving to warehouse in an efficient, effective, and safe manner, as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
- Inputting and cataloging Aircraft Parts
- Understands and functions within equipment structure and level to accomplish the Warehouse and Receiving mission in a safe, effective manner.
- Monitors the unloading of materials into the Receiving Department; Ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection
- Moves material from Receiving to the Warehouse in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
- Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
- Ability to keep engaged and on task
- Become forklift certified
- Performs other job duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- A High School Diploma
- Experience in Warehousing, Receiving, Inventory Control, or Materials Management
- The ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealings with co-workers
- Professional, polished communication skills – oral and written
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
While performing the responsibilities of the Receiving Clerk, you will be seated at a desk, using a phone and computer, for much of your workday. When fulfilling job duties, physical requirements may include walking long distances, crouching, crawling, standing on ladders or scaffolds, using hoists and lifts, using precision instruments, and other necessary hand tools requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity. These job duties may be performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment, or outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (when safe).
