Support projects related to General Cargo transportation
Support the implementation of Airbus Transport projects in the Americas and associated work specifications in line with local requirements
Support the integration of Airbus vendors (including Sparrow project) and deploy TAPPS
Define/develop and implement solutions for transporting aircraft components within the Airbus Transport network, in compliance with the Airbus project management process (LBIP methodology - Leaner Business Improvement Projects)
Creation of Transport Specifications in order to meet internal customers requirements
Capture new needs through contractual Change Requests
Develop efficient air, sea, road, train flows considering CO2 emission goals
Ensure Customs Compliance
Interact and influence aircraft components transportation solutions, in line with the Transport community vision
Preparation of business cases to support various project objectives
Support local sourcing and develop CAPEX/OPEX budgetary project plans/goals
Education/Special Qualifications (schooling, certifications):
Bachelor’s degree and/or a combination of work experience in Business or Supply Chain and Logistics.
Desirable courses or training:
Project Management - PMP preferred
Quality techniques, management
Environmental protection in accordance with ISO 14001
Six-Sigma-methodology
Corporate presentation skills
Occupational health and safety regulations
Physical Requirements:
Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.
Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear alerts and warning signals.
Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment.
Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 30lbs while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on the shop floor.
Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.
Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
Travel: able to travel domestically and internationally for short periods.
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight lines and airstrip sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces
