About the role
The Storekeeper ensures a team undertake rapid, efficient, safe and accurate movement and storage of stock with the objective of ensuring that it is in the right place at the right time, whilst minimising shortages, breakages and other materials handling costs. Required to assist the Warehouse Team Leaders with all aspects of warehouse operations and accountable for teams prompt compliance to all Occupational Health and Safety and other safety instructions.
Ensure stacking of pallets is according to company guidelines for a maximum space utilization and safe movement of stock.
Ensure stock stacked and picked according to expiry dates and vintages to ensure proper stock rotation on a FIFO basis.
Responsible for a rapid and efficient order picking for shop requirements to ensure full shelves at all times and no lost sales. Responsible for rapid and efficient order picking for On Trade orders to ensure goods ready when required and stored neatly and safely prior to collection.
Check all despatches to On Trade customers utilising HHTs to ensure accuracy. Includes direct liaison with customer representatives.
Supervise unloading teams to ensure proper receipt of goods including correct product and pallet labelling. Maintaining companys quality standards in general and food items in particular. Perform other duties as directed b the Management.
