Boeing Defence UK is seeking an entry level procurement professional to join the Digital and Future Programmes team as an Indirect Procurement Agent who will be able to:

  • Prepare and execute negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements including Proprietary Information Agreements
  • Communicates supply and demand schedules to manage supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Provide transactional support to the purchase of goods and services where required
  • Support the Accounts Payable team and be the conduit with the Procurement teams to ensure efficient payment of supplier invoices.
  • Support weekly supplier payment meetings and coordinate actions with the Procurement teams.
  • Liaise with internal BDUK Stakeholders to ensure that goods are being sufficiently receipted in time.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Procurement Agents for day to day activities such as drafting Non-Disclosure Agreements, placing Purchase Orders, sending RFP/RFQs.
  • Provide support to on-boarding suppliers onto the SAP ARIBA systems, liaising with internal stakeholders to gather information.

The successful candidate will need to be adaptable and a creative thinker with the ability to liaise and work alongside a number of functional disciplines. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

-Studying a degree course

- Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Experience supporting and leading cross-functional teams

- Ability to be self-directed in work and/or previous experience in a self-directed role

- Strong business acumen and adept problem solving ability

- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

- Ability to obtain UK SC security clearance

- Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role
