Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Procurement Agent will be responsible for managing subcontracts in compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations, engaging with suppliers to ensure high-performance delivery and compliance, and leading supplier competitions to ensure best-value sourcing. This role will also require cross-functional collaboration with engineering, finance, and program management teams to achieve contractual and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Subcontract Management: Manage subcontracts in compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations, ensuring proper flow-downs and contract adherence throughout the supply chain.
Supplier Engagement & Performance: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with contracts and performance standards.
Best-Value Source Selection: Lead and support robust supplier competitions, negotiating and selecting suppliers based on best-value principles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across internal functions such as engineering, finance, and program management to ensure alignment with contractual and operational goals.
Proposal & Estimating Support: Assist with financial analysis, cost estimation, and development of compliant proposals to prime contractors.
Supplier Categories: Support procurement efforts in advanced composites, advanced machining, and structures, leveraging expertise in these supply bases.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: 10+ years of experience in supply chain, subcontracting, or procurement roles within the defense industry.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of FAR/DFARS requirements, subcontract flow-downs, and compliance best practices.
Supplier Management: Proven experience running supplier competitions and selecting suppliers using best-value criteria.
Communication Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to resolve issues and build productive supplier relationships.
Mentorship: Ability to mentor less experienced personnel and share industry knowledge and best practices.
Financial Analysis & Estimating: Experience in estimating, financial analysis, and proposal development is a plus.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with advanced composites, machining, and structures supply bases is highly desirable.
