We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering student to join our Advanced EO & RF Mechanical Engineering team in McKinney, Texas. As an Engineering intern the responsibilities may include any aspects of the mechanical design process from concept generation to model / drawing completion to supporting product builds and test. You will work closely with product engineers from multiple disciplines to ensure support of program and factory requirements.

This position is an Onsite role, where you will be working primarily in McKinney, Texas during Summer 2025.
What You Will Do
- Solve problems, test, and/or troubleshoot hardware
- Recommend design modifications
- Create and/or modify drawings
- Analyze and evaluate various products to determine their efficiency and/or cost-effectiveness
Qualifications You Must Have
- This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior year by the start of summer 2025
- Must be pursuing as Bachelors or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling.
Qualifications We Prefer
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
- Major in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- Experience utilizing CREO
- Completion of at least 1 internship in a related field
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers who have diverse experiences, communities, and cultures.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
