North State Aviation is seeking experienced Aviation Mechanics to join our 2nd shift team. Ideal candidates will perform skilled mechanical work independently or collaboratively, with minimal supervision.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks with minimal error.
Independently or with a team, repair, remove, and install cabin interiors including carpeting, lighting, monuments, and sidewalls.
Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reinstall aircraft cabin furnishings and components such as doors, galleys, lavatories, seats, overhead bins, and panels.
Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering documents, service bulletins, aircraft manuals, and catalogs to complete complex cabin reconfigurations.
Use hand tools and related equipment to perform skilled mechanical work as required.
Accurately record time worked as directed by supervisor.
Follow all safety protocols, using appropriate PPE and complying fully with safety procedures at all times.
Stay informed about North State Aviation policies and procedures, seeking clarification when needed.
Demonstrate working knowledge of basic aviation components and zones, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazardous waste procedures, PPE, and ground support equipment.
Read and follow maintenance manuals, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
Complete and maintain documentation such as work orders, task cards, logs, part tags, and time/material records accurately.
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of relevant aviation maintenance experience preferred
Ability to work 2nd shift schedule
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Must be a team player with a commitment to safety and quality
Read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate is preferred; Airframe Familiarization (FAM) course certificates preferred
