The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of company-operated aircraft and articles as assigned in accordance with SkySkopes’ policies and procedures. Ensures company operational goals and objectives are met while guaranteeing all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals. The A&P Mechanic will report to the Director of Maintenance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Ensures the safety of company aircraft, including but not limited to airworthiness, regulatory compliance, sound maintenance practices, processes, and operations.
- Ensures all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals to include specific chapters
- Actively participates in the continuous improvement of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and is familiar with the SMS policies, processes, and procedures
- Maintains work area in a clean and professional manner
- Performs all other related duties as trained and/or assigned
- Complete required logbook entries and ensure all appropriate return-to-service documentation is collected and filed.
- Responsible for correcting compliance or safety issues when directed.
- Request aviation parts and supplies to maintain an adequate and orderly inventory of all stock items to ensure prompt repairs for operational readiness.
- Represent SkySkopes in customer-facing meetings and able to articulate our maintenance program.
