Summary:
Perform structural assembly, fitting, drilling, and riveting operations in accordance with specifications
Lay out, fabricate, and install sheet metal parts and structural components
Rivet structural members using appropriate tools (riveting guns, drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, reamers, etc.)
Remove and replace fasteners without damaging surrounding structure
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, lofts, and operation sheets
Follow proper procedures when using adhesives, sealants, solvents, and composite materials
Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, clamps, and proper tooling
Perform repairs per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs; complete required rework to ensure conformity
Inspect work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection
Maintain required logs and documentation (MIRs, DMTs, PCOs, etc.)
Support 5S and Lean initiatives; maintain a clean and safe work environment
Coordinate shift turnovers and ensure accurate job charging
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Properly maintain and return company tools and equipment
Follow standard operating procedures when using ground support equipment
Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 4 years of structural assembly experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Basic computer and shop math skills
Skilled in close-tolerance structural work
Experience working with composite materials and resins
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production schedules
Ability to work any shift
Must be able to climb ladders and stands, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs
Experience with Solumina and SmarTeam preferred
Q-Stamp preferred
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
